The SPERRY MARINE NAVIGAT X MK2 is a compact and reliable gyrocompass system designed in one unit, receiving power from two independent inputs. With an average operating time of 40,000 hours between technical services, it is a highly efficient system. It meets IMO A.424 (XI) and A.694 (17) resolutions, conforms to ISO 8728, and is a type-approved Wheelmark. Key features include a 4-line display unit on the front panel, automatic speed static correction, and high-speed data transmission. The system is equipped with twin rotors and a liquid damping system, eliminating latitude errors. It requires no additional devices and has a monitoring function with alarms. SPERRY MARINE NAVIGATE X MK2 GYROCOMPASS
The SPERRY MARINE NAVIGAT X MK2 gyrocompass is a compact, one-unit design with two independent DC inputs, running on a 24V power supply. It can drive up to 4 analog repeaters and offers 5 serial data outputs and 1 6-steps/degree output. Based on the proven NAVIGAT X MK1 design, it has a mean time between failures exceeding 40,000 hours and remains north-stabilized for 3 minutes in case of a power interruption. It complies with IMO regulations A.424(XI) A.694(17) and ISO 8728, with full Wheelmark type approval. The system completes Sperry Marine‘s range of heading sensors, including NAVIGAT 2100 fiber-optic gyrocompass, NAVIGAT X MK1, and NAVISTAR satellite compass. The gyrocompass offers MED approval and features automatic static north speed error correction, rate-of-turn output, and high-speed data transmission. Self-aligning repeater compasses with serial interface IEC-61162-1/RS 422, twin rotors (19,000 rev./min.), and liquid damping system eliminate latitude error. It also has a ±180° electronic alignment error correction in the setup program.
