Description
The Magnetron MG5436 is a high-performance pulse magnetron designed specifically for challenging marine radar applications. Its compact, rugged design ensures durability in harsh maritime environments, all while providing consistent radar pulse generation. Operating at a fixed frequency of 9410 ± 30 MHz, it delivers a peak output power of 25 kW, making it ideal for accurate and reliable radar performance in marine navigation and safety.
This magnetron features an indirectly heated cathode, optimized with a heater voltage of 6.3 V and a current of 0.5 A. The cathode pre-heating time is 60 seconds, which ensures efficient startup, even in fluctuating temperatures. The E2V Magnetron MG5436 also includes an integrated magnet and a durable No. 16 waveguide output, which guarantees longevity and stable signal transmission. It allows for flexible mounting positions and requires a minimum clearance of 25 mm from magnetic materials, adding versatility for installation.
Natural cooling minimizes the need for maintenance, while the IEC UBR100 coupler ensures compatibility with standard marine radar systems.
